Token Editions proudly welcomes artist Mankind and his new collection “After the Dance”. Using light and the graceful movement of ballet, each artwork elegantly represents the feeling of liberation after a period of transition: a long darkness is overcome by the rising sun, and an unexpected space suddenly offers room to dance.
This collection encourages us to view past events from a different perspective, and to allow ourselves the room we need to transform former ideas and emotions into something new.
Mankind is a digital artist with an eminent background in art direction with over 20 years experience working for award winning branding, digital and advertising studios. After a near death experience concerning health, a mental existential struggle began that he found echoed the pages of ‘Confession’ by Leo Tolstoy. “Since death is inevitable, what is the meaning of life?” He found the answer of hope by exploring, creating and sharing through the moniker ‘Mankind’. “Every time I make art it gives me hope for a better future.
